Old Fashioned Square Jawed Video Game Hero, Quirky Supporting, or
Maniacal Villain
Bio: Like many kids of my generation, the Nintendo
Entertainment System first sparked my gaming imagination. At the
time, there was simply nothing like the challenge of Super Mario
Bros., the twist ending of Metroid, or the sheer sense of discovery of
Zelda. From there, I followed Nintendo with each new system and
casually branched into other consoles. Keeping up with the industry
became a hobby for me in my teens, and I continue to be very
interested in the potential video games have as an all-inclusive new
form of entertainment; the games that really get to me most are the
ones that strive for the same legitimacy as a great book or film.
Entertainment value never hurts, either.
Hobbies Aside from Gaming: Though I make my living acting and
writing, these never seem like work. Outside of those pillars, I read
constantly, do a bit of photography, paint, watch and debate films,
and dabble in graphic design. I also dig just walking out the door or
getting in the car, picking a direction, and seeing what's out there.
Favorite Genres: Experimental forms, adventure, RPG, and strategy
Favorite Games: The Metroid series, Street Fighter II Turbo, Star Fox
64, Killer 7, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Disgaea, Perfect
Dark, Gladius, Electroplankton, Advance Wars, Beyond Good & Evil.
Work: I have acted in over forty production on stage, film, and
radio, publish consistently in journals, model from time to time, and
live as a general charlatan.
