Bio:
Languages: English and some Spanish
Education: I've studied practically everything, from philosophy, business, costume design, programming, and Spanish. I was accepted to CalArts in Valencia-a VERY exclusive school, to study costume design. I decided I wanted to keep costumes a hobby instead of a career, and now work as a massage therapist. But I could talk for hours on a whole bunch of nerdy topics!
Background: I've been playing games since before I could walk-My father owned a computer company when I was a kid, and so I got to play tons of stuff before most people my age. I started out on the NES and PC, playing the original Myst, Zork, Zelda, Castlevania...you name it. I practically grew up in the arcade, and I'm pretty awesome at pinball too.
Hobbies: I enjoy costuming, reading, philosophy, cooking, art, conventions, modeling, tattoos, bad movies, singing, music, and theater.
Favorite Games: It's really hard to narrow it down to just a few, but I'll try! Castlevania series, Zelda (Ocarina of Time and previous, the new ones I do not like), Gauntlet, Super Mario Bros., Halo 2 and 3, Bioshock, Donkey Kong Country, Centipede, Final Fantasy 7, Street Fighter 2, Guilty Gear, Tekken, Red Faction 2, Legend of Dragoon, TMNT: Turtle in Time, Simpsons arcade games, Crazy Taxi, Clayfighter, Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, World of Warcraft, Warcraft 1-3, Fallout 1-3, Half Life, Starfox 64, Mario Kart, Tales of Symphonia, God of War, Banjo Kazooie, Civilization, Portal, etc etc
Gaming Experience: You name it, I've played it (sports games excluded). I started on the NES and arcade games, and have lots and lots of experience on 2d games. Hell, I even played text based games and MUDS! Experience on PC gaming from the wayback machine, Asteroids, Tank, Missle Command...California Games! SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, Dreamcast, and all the gameboys. I play RTS, MMO, RPG, Action/adventure, puzzle, classic, platformers, fighters, FPS, survival horror, turn-based strategy, etc. Hell, I even have experience playing tabletop games like Dungeons and Dragons.
Relevant Work Experience: I worked for THQ in the QA department as an Xbox specialist for a year or so. I have lots of experience modeling for alt-tattoo sites and also several other websites targeted to the "geek" or "gamer" demographic, and several sites featuring costumes. I have a huge collection of cosplay costumes, and have been attending conventions for 10 years now. I've even freelanced as a "WoW expert" and run my own website for gamers, anime and comic book fans.
Consoles Owned: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, PS1, PS2, Gameboy color/advance, Xbox, Xbox 360, PC. I won't lie though-I'm all about the 360 (And the Super Nintendo)
General: I am super personable, very easy to chat with, and EXTREMELY knowledgeable about a variety of games, past, present and future. I've been to conventions for year and am very comfortable in a crowd, I love dressing up in costume and meeting people with interests relevant to my own.
